Introducing the Plant Protection Program (PPP)

Shipping live plants is risky. Heat waves, cold snaps, delayed carriers, and rough handling all conspire against the plant in the box. Until now, sellers ate the loss — or buyers did, and a great trade ended in bitterness. We built the Plant Protection Program (PPP) to fix that.

What PPP covers

For a small fee at checkout, your shipment is enrolled in PPP. If the plant arrives dead, rotted, or visibly damaged within 48 hours of delivery, you file a claim with photos. We review it within one business day. If approved, you're refunded — and the seller isn't penalized.

Why we built it

For three years, the loudest pain point in shipped plant trades has been the same: nobody wants to ship rare plants because if they die in transit, someone's out the money or out the trust. That fear keeps the rarest plants stuck in one city. PPP unlocks them.

How sellers benefit

  • More buyers say yes. Removing transit risk converts more "maybe" offers into actual swaps and sales.
  • Higher-value listings move. Buyers who'd never spend $100+ on a shipped plant suddenly will.
  • No more arguments. Disputes go through PPP review, not into 10-message DM threads.

How buyers benefit

  • Peace of mind. If it shows up dead, you're covered.
  • Real recourse. No more "contact the seller and hope they're nice."
  • Trust in the marketplace. PPP-enrolled sellers are vetted — you can filter for them.

The fine print (small, on purpose)

Claims need to be filed within 48 hours of delivery, with photos of the package and the plant inside. Things we don't cover: shipping delays the carrier already refunded, the plant being "a smaller size than you expected," or buyer's remorse. We'll always tell you why a claim was denied.
